What We Did

The Client

The RVDA of Alberta is the primary organization representing recreational vehicle dealers in Alberta. Comprised of independent businesses, the association is committed to fostering the growth and excellence of the RV industry and lifestyle in the region.

The Project

The RVDA of Alberta's goals was to focus on promoting membership benefits and driving attendance to RV shows in Edmonton and Calgary. We developed targeted approaches for reaching these diverse audiences to elevate the RVDA's brand and increase membership and event sales.

Goal

Enhance the RVDA's brand recognition, as well as to boost membership and event ticket sales. This involved defining the unique attributes of RVDA events and promoting them effectively to target audiences through various marketing channels, while also strengthening the organization's online presence.

We conducted a thorough discovery session and website audit, as well as an examination of RVDA's social media, brand materials, newsletters, and media coverage. This provided valuable insights for expanding awareness and sales.Integrating this research into the marketing plan shaped an authentic brand representation for meaningful impact on members and customers.

Brand

We rebranded the Calgary and Edmonton RV shows from the "Calgary RV Expo" and the "Edmonton RV Expo" to the "Calgary RV Adventure Sale & Show” and “Edmonton RV Adventure Sale & Show”. The logos for both shows have also been refreshed and redesigned. This was aimed at connecting with the adventurous spirit of the audience and aligning with evolving consumer expectations and market trends. This rebranding enhanced the overall look and feel and strengthened brand recall. The show logos utilize the visual of a map marker and ideas such as “Where will your RV adventure take you?” and “How many places can you check off your bucket list?” The mountainscape in the background represents Alberta, and the words “Sale & Show” are called out for emphasis.

Campaign

Online Advertising, TV, Radio, OOH, Sponsored Content, Website Development/Landing Page, Professional Videography & Photography, Partner Marketing Kits, and Post Event Surveys. Habit supported the RVDA of Alberta with communication, publicity and awareness campaigns for Calgary and Edmonton RV Shows. We developed and implemented a strategy to create awareness, engage the audience and drive attendance. Leveraged the tagline 'Find Your Wherever Home' to tap into the adventurous spirit of RVers. We created key campaign visuals, including videos and creative designs, aligned with the messaging.

The Results

Throughout the campaign, we successfully expanded our follower base on all platforms, boosted engagement reach and impressions, and improved newsletter open rates. Additionally, we decreased the bounce rate on their website. Habit's strategic communication support has greatly improved RVDA of Alberta's publicity efforts. We will leverage our learnings to enhance success in the coming year. The event brand refresh has been well-received. We successfully transformed the entire event into a brand by integrating a tagline and lifestyle component. The new logos have garnered positive feedback.
